Biography

Tricia acts for major financial institutions, institutional lenders, alternative capital providers and corporate borrowers on significant financing transactions. Her clients include lenders (including domestic and offshore banks, financial institutions and alternative capital providers) and borrowers across project finance, property finance, acquisition finance and corporate finance transactions.

Tricia advises on the full lifecycle of financing transactions: structuring, negotiating and documenting project finance, property finance, acquisition finance and corporate finance arrangements, as well as.

Tricia has acted on some of Australia's most significant and complex financing transactions over more than 30 years of practice. Her work includes bilateral, club and syndicated matters  in all major market sectors.

Tricia is recognised for a commercial, solutions-focused approach tested across decades of major transaction work. Prior to joining Thomsons, Tricia worked at Clayton Utz and Hamilton Locke, bringing deep finance specialist capability to the firm's national Banking and Finance practice.  She is proactive, approachable, down to earth and can quickly identify solutions and transaction structures that meet the commercial objectives of all stakeholders.

National Australia Bank

Advising National Australia Bank Limited, The HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Sydney Branch and Mizuho Bank Ltd (as Arrangers) and a syndicate of 20 lenders in relation to the provision of $400 million syndicated facilities to BlueScope Steel Limited and its local and offshore subsidiaries.

BlueScope bilateral club financing

Advising ten club lenders (including Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, National Australia Bank Limited, Westpac Banking Corporation and Commonwealth Bank of Australia) in relation to the provision of a series of bilateral facilities totalling $1.5 billion under a common terms arrangement to BlueScope Steel Limited and its local and offshore subsidiaries.

La Trobe University

Advising La Trobe University in relation to its $235M sustainability linked loan and $175M AMTN issuance.

Ausgrid consortium acquisition financing

Advising the financiers to the IFM/AustralianSuper consortium for the provision of finance facilities of to fund the acquisition of the Ausgrid business in NSW ($16.2 billion).
