Biography

Peter acts for real estate companies, nonbank financiers, private and public companies, family firms and high net worth individuals. His client base includes long-standing relationships with entities such as Village Roadshow and Jellis Craig. He also acts as advisor to the board for a number of professional services companies.

Peter advises on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial law. His work spans recapitalisation programs, succession planning, business acquisitions and disposals, and financing arrangements. He also advises as an ongoing trusted counsel to boards and principals across a range of sectors.

Peter acted for Village Roadshow Entertainment Group on a A$380 million recapitalisation program involving mezzanine and equity with numerous global stakeholders, recognised as the International Financial Law Review Asia Private Equity Deal of the Year 2013. His practice encompasses high-value corporate and finance transactions as well as sensitive matters for private clients and family offices.

Peter brings close to 40 years of experience with  over 30 years at Thomson Geer and a sustained focus on senior client relationships across public and private companies, real estate companies, private credit and high net worth individuals. He holds board roles including as a non-executive director of Jellis Craig Corporation, Supra Capital Ltd, Prometheus Group of Companies giving him direct appreciation of governance and fiduciary obligations from a director's perspective.

Joe Rascal Group – Acquisition of Peter Stevens dealerships

Acted for the Joe Rascal Group in the acquisition of certain Harley Davidson and Ducati motor cycle dealerships from Korda Mentha as the Administrators of the Peter Stevens Group.


Movigo Group – Right2Drive

Acted for the Movigo Group in the acquisition of the Right2Drive businesses and the establishment of RTN Law a boutique plaintiff law firm specialising in property damage and credit hire claims.


Village Roadshow Entertainment Group – Chapter 11 process

Acted as the Australian Counsel in the US Chapter 11 bankruptcy which resulted in the sale of the VREG film library for over US $400 million.
