Melanie acts for multinational corporations, large private companies and Australian businesses on corporate transactions, borrower-side debt finance and ongoing commercial matters. Her clients include global food and consumer goods groups, automotive distributors, industrial manufacturers and technology companies operating across Australia, Hong Kong and internationally.
Melanie advises on the full range of corporate transactional work: acquisitions and disposals, takeovers, schemes of arrangement, joint ventures, capital raisings, corporate finance and borrower-side debt finance. She also advises on ongoing corporate, commercial and regulatory matters for retained clients, with a special interest in foreign investment regulation. Her cross-border practice draws on experience in international law firms in both Australia and Hong Kong, with particular depth in cross-border M&A, corporate finance and financial regulation.
Melanie’s transactional work spans acquisitions by global multinationals in the food, automotive, industrial and technology sectors, including cross-border structures involving Australian, Hong Kong and European counterparties. She acts as ongoing corporate counsel to several significant client groups, managing the full spectrum of their acquisition activity, debt funding, commercial contracting and regulatory compliance.
