Biography

Jeremy acts for energy companies, infrastructure operators, port authorities and government agencies in Western Australia and nationally. His clients include oil and gas producers, power utilities, transport operators and fuel storage businesses engaged in major capital projects and regulated infrastructure.

He advises across the project lifecycle for major infrastructure, power and energy transactions. His practice covers construction and EPC contracts for greenfield and brownfield projects, operation and maintenance agreements, energy M&A, procurement and supply arrangements, fuel and storage contracts, port management and regulatory compliance. He has direct experience on both sides of major projects, having served as general counsel for leading energy companies.

Jeremy spent 10 years in London advising the world’s largest energy companies, including five years as General Counsel of the UK’s largest gas storage and processing business. He has advised on A$120 million port development projects, processing and operating services agreements at A$220 million scale, and major power station redevelopment and gas infrastructure projects in Western Australia.

Jeremy brings a combination of senior in-house experience and private practice depth that is uncommon in the infrastructure and energy market. He has sat on management and project teams for complex commercial entities, giving him direct insight into client priorities and project execution.

Advising ATCO BOCconsortium on all aspects of the ECI, EPC and O&M for the world-leading Hydrogen Jobs Plan Project in South Australia, a hydrogen development consisting of a 250Mwe electrolyser, 100T hydrogen storage facility and a 100MW hydrogen electricity generation plant.

Liebherr: Electrification of Fortescue's Mining Fleet

Acting for Liebherr negotiating the contractual framework for $1bn+ joint development and supply of hydrogen fuel cell and battery electric trucks and other heavy mobile equipment to Fortescue, including IP sharing and commercialisation arrangements, warranty and design-life support, automation and minimum volume guarantees.

Symons Clark: Logistics for BHP's South Australian Copper Operations

Acted for Symons Clark in negotiating arrangements to deliver an integrated rail, road and port logistics solution support all of BHP's South Australian copper operations for the next 10 years (with a total value of $1.5bn).

BOC: Dandenong LNG Storage Facility

Acted for BOC in renegotiating the Liquefaction Agreement, Storage Agreement and Lease in respect of the Dandenong LNG Storage Facility.

Puma Energy: Kwinana Bulk Fuel Terminal

Acting for Puma Energy in the divestment and project completion of the Kwinana Bulk Fuel Terminal as part of the global restructuring of Puma Energy’s storage and infrastructure business.

Kimberley Ports Authority: Kimberley Marine Support Base

Adviser to the Kimberley Ports Authority on all aspects of the proposed A$120 million Kimberley Marine Support Base project, including the associated long-term concession and operating contracts.
