Biography

Jack acts for contractors, developers, project owners and government-facing entities involved in major public infrastructure, renewables and large-scale residential and commercial development. His clients include participants in some of New South Wales’ largest transport infrastructure programs, as well as solar and wind farm developers and operators. He is based in Sydney.

Jack advises on the strategic management and resolution of construction disputes, including litigation, arbitration, Security of Payment adjudications and alternative dispute resolution. He takes a commercial approach to dispute resolution, focusing on achieving outcomes quickly and economically and resorting to formal proceedings only where necessary to protect his clients’ commercial or strategic interests.

Jack has acted on some of the largest public infrastructure projects in New South Wales, including multiple Sydney Metro stages, Parramatta Light Rail, Inner West Light Rail and various WestConnex and NorthConnex packages. His project experience spans rail, roads, tunnels, residential towers and renewable energy, with matters ranging in value from individual project packages to multi-billion-dollar infrastructure programs.

Jack is recognised by clients and peers for his technical depth, strategic precision and composure under pressure. He navigates complex, shifting disputes with agility and brings a comprehensive understanding of both legal and commercial dimensions of major project conflicts.

Acted on disputes arising from Sydney Metro Northwest, Sydney Metro City and Southwest, and related rolling stock and rail infrastructure programs, including Regional Rail, Sydney Growth Trains, Millennium Trains, and Oscar and Hunter Trains.

WestConnex and NorthConnex

Acted on disputes arising from various stages of WestConnex and NorthConnex, two of New South Wales’ most significant road infrastructure programs, as well as the Sydney Gateway project.

Renewables

Acted on disputes arising from solar and wind farm projects including Bannerton Solar Park, Barcaldine Solar Farm and Bulgana Green Power Hub.

Large-scale residential and commercial developments
