ASX-listed and private corporate entities across the mining, property and construction sectors, financial institutions, commercial property owners and developers, and high net worth individuals. Hendrik has practised in litigation and dispute resolution for more than 21 years and appears in all courts and tribunals in Western Australia.

Hendrik’s practice covers significant and complex commercial disputes across administrative and local government law, building and construction law, competition and consumer law, contract law, corporations law, environmental and planning law and property law. He advises on dispute strategy, formal litigation, arbitration and all forms of alternative dispute resolution, combining technical skill with practical, realistic advice to achieve cost-efficient outcomes. He also acts in banking and finance matters and restructuring contexts, including securities enforcement, mortgage recovery and insolvency-related proceedings for financial institution clients.

Hendrik has acted in disputes involving a circa A$100 million hotel development including design, construction and lease disputes in Western Australia, a circa A$100 million dispute for an ASX-listed company involving the sale of a gold mine in Africa, and a circa A$95 million dispute for an ASX-listed company concerning an investment agreement and convertible note relating to a Spanish mining project. His dispute values regularly exceed A$80 million and he has extensive experience in cross-border commercial disputes.

Hendrik combines depth in commercial litigation with direct experience in building and construction, property and planning, and mining and resources disputes, making him well-suited to matters where multiple legal domains intersect.  His practical approach to identifying key dispute drivers and pursuing commercially relevant outcomes is consistently applied across diverse and high-value matters.

Acting for an ASX-listed company in a circa A$100 million dispute involving the sale of a gold mine located in Africa, including cross-border contractual and enforcement issues.
