Emma acts for major Australian banks and financial institutions, non-bank lenders, equipment financiers and leading insolvency practitioners. Her banking clients include Bank of Queensland, Westpac, National Australia Bank, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and La Trobe Financial. Her insolvency clients include Romanis Cant and PKF Australia.
Emma advises on banking and finance litigation, security enforcement, secured and unsecured recoveries, and possession of secured property. She manages high-volume recovery programs for banks and financial institutions, advising on facility and security documentation, commercial and retail property issues and PPSA priority disputes. Her insolvency practice covers corporate and personal insolvency proceedings, including receivership and liquidation, voidable transactions, undervalue transactions, unfair preferences and insolvent transactions. She also acts in commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, property disputes and debt recovery.
Emma brings more than 15 years of experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with particular depth in banking and finance litigation and insolvency. Her practice spans Supreme Court proceedings in Victoria, Federal Court matters and Federal Circuit Court bankruptcy proceedings. She has managed high-volume security enforcement programs for major banks across retail and commercial property portfolios and has acted in urgent injunctive proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria to protect client interests ahead of settlement.
Emma's practice combines institutional banking litigation depth with strong insolvency capability, allowing her to advise clients across the full lifecycle of a distressed debt or insolvency matter from initial recovery strategy through to realisation of assets and voidable transaction recovery.
