Delene acts for private sector clients on M&A transactions across a range of industries. Her client base includes corporate acquirers, business owners, private equity investors and institutional entities on acquisitions, divestments and equity transactions.

Delene specialises in private M&A, advising on share and asset acquisitions, divestments, equity investments and commercial arrangements. She manages the full transaction lifecycle: due diligence, structuring, negotiation of transaction documents and post-completion arrangements. She has particular experience with complex capital structure transactions involving multiple classes of equity and debt.

Delene practised at one of South Africa's largest law firms before moving to a specialist M&A practice where she became a partner, prior to establishing a Sydney corporate firm specialising in M&A before joining Thomsons. This background gives her a commercially grounded, practical approach to transactions that clients describe as thorough, efficient and commercial.
