Biography

Cameron acts primarily for listed companies, acquirers and targets on public M&A and capital markets matters. His clients include resources companies, tech and biotech entities and varied ASX-listed companies across other sectors. Having previously worked at the Australian Securities Exchange in Perth and Sydney, he has direct understanding of ASX operations and how it regulates issuers.

Cameron advises on takeovers, schemes of arrangement, Takeovers Panel proceedings, ASX listings, secondary capital raisings, company meetings and general corporate advisory and commercial work. He also advises on Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules compliance, corporate governance and director-related matters. He holds postgraduate qualifications in finance and corporate governance.

Cameron has acted on the announced ~A$3 billion Qoria/Aura Consolidated Group merger and on the A$1.1 billion acquisition of MMA Offshore by Cyan Renewables by way of scheme of arrangement. He also acted on the Orezone Gold A$75 million ASX IPO and dual listing and the A$50 million ASX IPO of Brazilian Rare Earths. His further experience includes advising Saracen Mineral Holdings on its acquisition of Barrick Gold Corporation's 50% interest in the Super Pit gold mine. He was part of the teams which were recognised as Transaction Team of the Year at the Australian Law Awards 2020 and Excellence Award Energy and Resources Deal of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards 2020.

Cameron's prior ASX employment in Perth and Sydney gives him direct insight into the regulatory framework and internal processes of the Exchange that is rare among private practice lawyers. His combined postgraduate qualifications in finance and corporate governance reinforce his technical standing in listed entity advisory. His Takeovers Panel experience adds a specialist dimension to his public M&A practice.

Acting as team member on the announced ~A$3 billion merger of Qoria Limited with US-based Aura Consolidated Group via Australian scheme of arrangement.

MMA Offshore Limited

Advised leading marine and subsea services company MMA Offshore on its acquisition by Cyan Renewables by way of scheme of arrangement for A$1.1 billion. The deal was reportedly the largest takeover deal in the wind power segment in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024.

Orezone Gold — A$75 million ASX IPO

Acting as team member on Orezone Gold's A$75 million underwritten IPO and ASX dual listing. Completed August 2025.

Brazilian Rare Earths Limited

Advised Brazilian Rare Earths Limited on its A$50 million initial public offering and listing on the ASX.

Saracen Mineral Holdings — Super Pit acquisition from Barrick Gold

Acted for Saracen Mineral Holdings on its acquisition of Barrick Gold Corporation's 50% interest in the Super Pit gold mine.

Atlas Iron Limited

Advised Atlas Iron Limited on the scheme of arrangement in relation to the previously proposed acquisition by Mineral Resources Limited of all Atlas shares; and its takeover response in relation to the takeover bid by a subsidiary of Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd.

Anacacia Capital — A$280 million continuation vehicle

Acted as team member on the establishment of Anacacia V, raising A$280 million, acquiring interests in Direct Couriers, RP Infrastructure and Big River Industries.
