Cain acts predominantly for tenants, including major retail, food service, entertainment and technology companies. Clients include Craveable Brands, Sony, Universal Music, NOVA Entertainment, Toshiba, Canon, SMEC Australia and Isaac Property Developments.

Cain advises on the full range of commercial, retail and industrial leasing documentation: agreements for lease, leases, assignments, variations, surrenders, fitout deeds, incentive deeds and licences. He negotiates terms for both landlords and tenants and manages lease renewal, relocation and make-good disputes.

Cain manages high-volume national leasing programs across multiple jurisdictions, including the disposal of over 100 head leases to franchisees by assignment or licence. He advises on retail legislation application across all Australian states and territories and acts in Supreme Court proceedings involving contested lease interpretation.
