Andrew acts for technology companies, Cooperative Research Centres, universities, agribusinesses and major corporates on technology transactions, IP commercialisation and regulatory matters. His clients span AgTech, life sciences and environmental technology, as well as logistics, defence and consumer goods businesses.

Andrew advises on technology transactions, commercialisation of intellectual property, research and development agreements, commercial agreements and information technology. He also advises on a range of regulatory matters including privacy and data protection, bribery and corruption, sanctions (UNSC and Australian Autonomous Sanctions), competition and consumer law, gene technology regulation, the Spam Act and surveillance devices.

Andrew led the wind-up of the Cybersecurity Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) on the expiry of its funding, advising on the assignment of IP created across more than 20 research projects to entities that will continue to research and commercialise the IP, IP Trust issues, corporate governance and tax matters, wind-up processes, and preparation of Data Custodianship Agreements. The matter had a total value of $100 million. He has also acted for Amscan Asia Pacific on a business acquisition and logistics operations, and for a distracted driver technology provider on supply agreements with governments.
