Over that period he has led the firm through four distinct phases of growth, from a small regional practice, to a respected mid-tier national firm, to a preeminent challenger brand, and now to a major firm operating at top tier level across a growing number of practice areas with greater ambitions.

Adrian's long term vision for Thomsons has been built on diversification and genuine quality and depth. Under his leadership, Thomsons has risen to represent private and public sector institutions across every mainland State in the country on their most challenging assignments.
Equally important to Adrian has been the development of a firm identity and culture defined by social equity and competitiveness.

Adrian was previously head of the firm's Corporate Department and has been a Partner since 1997. As a lawyer, he specialised in corporate and technology law. He is also the principal independent economic advisor to the South Australian Premier in his role as the Chairman of the South Australian Productivity Commission. He is considered a leading expert on Australian sub national government economic policies.
