Thomsons is pleased to announce the promotion of two new Partners, 10 Special Counsel, 22 Senior Associates and 36 Associates across the firm.

The new Partners are:

Maniqa Kumar – Government – Canberra

Maniqa is a highly regarded government infrastructure and projects lawyer with extensive experience advising Commonwealth agencies and statutory authorities on public law, regulatory and administrative law matters. She has a multi-sector practice spanning procurement, outsourcing and infrastructure projects and a particular focus on large-scale, complex and high-profile defence sector procurement projects.

Caroline Spencer – Litigation and Dispute Resolution – Perth

Caroline is an accomplished commercial litigation lawyer based in Western Australia, with extensive experience in Corporations Act matters, construction and engineering disputes, insolvency, contract and tort claims, and misleading and deceptive conduct claims. She has a broad commercial practice, with particular expertise in complex litigation, urgent applications and contested hearings, and particular strength in disputes involving WA-based and resources sector clients.

Adrian said both lawyers had demonstrated the qualities required of Partners at Thomsons.
