Australian legal adviser to ASX-listed Westgold on its cash-and-scrip A$1.1 billion merger with Canadian-listed Karora Resources.
Genesis Minerals
Advised ASX-listed Genesis Minerals on its A$628 million acquisition of the Gwalia gold mine from St Barbara and on an associated A$470 million capital raising.
Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation (JOIN)
Advising JOIN, the Japanese Government agency, on FIRB approvals, acquisition structure and Australian establishment for its first Australian investment, a co-investment in the Rozelle Village development with Mitsubishi Estate, Toho Gas and Meitetsu City Design.

Defending Mercer Superannuation (A$70 billion pension fund) in Federal Court proceedings initiated by ASIC relating to Corporations Act breach reporting obligations and licence conditions, including responses to mandatory information requests and preparation of fact and penalty submissions for ASIC’s Enforcement Committee.
Bristol-Myers Squibb & Otsuka
Acting for global pharmaceutical companies in an internationally significant Federal Court test case in which the Australian Government claims compensation for alleged losses to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

Advised the world’s leading digital asset platforms on Australian licensing requirements, product structuring and compliance strategies under the DAP reforms and ASIC’s updated INFO 225 guidance.

Network Ten
Successfully defended Network Ten in Australia’s most high-profile defamation proceeding of recent years, brought by former Liberal Party staffer Bruce Lehrmann over reporting on Network Ten program The Project. Continued acting through the Full Court of the Federal Court and High Court.
Australian Government
Defended and negotiated settlement of the Federal Court class action proceedings over the Robodebt program. The A$548.5 million settlement is the largest class action settlement in Australian history.
Mitsubishi Motors
Acted for Mitsubishi Motors Australia in litigation culminating in its successful appeal to the High Court concerning mandatory fuel-consumption labels and misleading or deceptive conduct.
Kingdom of Spain
Representing Spain in NSW Supreme Court proceedings defending enforcement of an ICSID arbitration award of EUR 290.6 million plus costs, and the appeal to the NSW Court of Appeal.
Major data centre
Advising Australian construction company SHAPE on the A$800+ million upgrading to 88MW of the landmark SYD1 data centre for DigiCo. The data centre is less than 1km from the Sydney CBD.
Marinus Link
Advised Samsung C&T Corporation and DT Infrastructure (a Gamuda subsidiary) on their bid for the balance of works contract for Marinus Link, the A$6.5 billion undersea and underground electricity interconnector between Victoria and Tasmania. Tasmania’s largest-ever energy infrastructure project and one of Australia’s most significant energy assets, critical to the national transition away from coal-fired generation.
Suburban Rail Loop, Victoria
Advising Alstom on its participation as a Non-Owner Participant in a delivery consortium with John Holland and RATP Dev bidding for the Suburban Rail Loop, Victoria’s largest-ever infrastructure project.
Salvation Army
Advised charity The Salvation Army on its partnership with delivery partner, Investa for a landmark A$230 million development project.
Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation
